Upload Right or Get Buried

I upload assets every week. Most people get this wrong on day one.

File types? PNG, JPG, GIF, MP4, GLB only. No WebP.

No AVIF. No exceptions. Video maxes out at 100MB.

Names matter more than you think. Use underscores. Lowercase only.

Setting Up Your Collection (and Not Screwing It Up)

I name my collections fast. No special characters. No spaces at the end.

Max 30 characters. If it’s longer, the form rejects it (and) no, I don’t know why 31 breaks it. I just accept it.

Banner needs to be 1200x630px. Logo is 300x300px. Crop them first.

Don’t upload a phone screenshot and hope. You’ll get blurry thumbnails on OpenSea. (Yes, I’ve done that.)

Gas options: Standard ($8) takes ~5 minutes. Priority ($14) takes ~90 seconds. I use Priority when I’m live-minting for a drop.

Unlockable content? Paste your PDF link or Discord invite before minting. Then click “Preview unlockable”.

Final Review, Signing, and Confirming Your NFT Launch

I check five things before I sign. Every time.

Correct wallet address? Accurate asset preview? Royalty % matches what I agreed to?

Blockchain is Ethereum only. Not Polygon, not Arbitrum? Is content visibility actually unlocked?

If one’s off, I stop. No exceptions.

The first MetaMask pop-up says: “Approve Etrsnft contract to access your wallet.” That’s permission. Not minting.
